My project explores the pay rates of graphic designers working within a specific part of London. Salary data was collected based on their work experience, focusing on their skills in illustration, web and branding design. The data revealed discrepancies of the value given, based on experience and ability, to the designers that took part.
Therefore the data gives the opportunity to calculate the worth of the graphic designers labour within this area. On a more personal level, peers can simultaneously see precisely this information and query its suitability. This research has highlighted the precarious working environment for graphic designers.
